If you have recently purchased a new smartphone and you want to start using it to get 2-step verification code for your Google account, choose the option below your status. (Use Google Authenticator to get my verification code). Check out to Enable 2 Step Verification for Google Account:-
You’ll need these things
- Immediately available backup codes
- Your new phone, which at least has been already signed
- Browser, including a computer that has Internet

1: Set up the “Google Authenticator” on your new smartphone
- On your new phone, download the “Google Authenticator” app from the app store and install.
2: Set up your ‘2-Step verificationfrom your computer
- Open your Google Account.
- Sign in with backup code Under “Security”; choose to sign in to Google.
- Click 2-Step Confirmation. You may have to sign in again. Under “Voice or Message”
- Make sure your backup numbers are still correct.
- Under “Authenticator application”, click Change phone. Choose your phone type. You will see a screen with a barcode. Stay on this screen.
3: Confirm your new phone
- On your new phone, open the ‘Google Authenticator’ application.
- Tap on “start”.
- Tap Barcode Scan.
- Use your phone to scan barcodes on your computer screen.If you cannot scan it, tap on “Cannot scan” it.Follow the instructions on the screen. You will see a code on your phone.
- On your computer, enter the code and click confirm and Save.
